Explore Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Hi, I’m Stephanie and I love living in the Smokies! I have been living here for over 10 years. We love it! My family and I love to get out and explore all the things there is in the Smokies. My mother-in-law is always ready to explore with me when my husband isn’t.

We have been to so many different attractions around town. It has been a while since we’ve been to Wonder Works. The last time we went my boys were pretty small. My husband and I decided to surprise the kids by going to Wonder Works recently with some friends.

Sarah, planned to meet us there with her 5-year-old and 3-year-old. The kids had no idea where we were going or who was meeting us. They were guessing all kind of fun guesses and some silly ones. We did end up blind folding our kids before we got there. They were tickled with excitement! They have been wanting to go to “the upside down” house for so long.

Sevier County days here we come!

If you do not know, in Sevier County we have local days. That typically includes Blount, Cocke, Jefferson, Knox or Sevier. You do have to show proof that you live in either of those areas. The proof needed would be a local ID, proof of residency, or a paystub. Please be aware this information could be subject to change anytime so I advise you ALWAYS check with the attraction or their Facebook page. I always love to call and double check!

Now that you know about local days, OH YEAH! It can be very helpful for larger families like my family. My husband is very frugal so we tend to save money where we can so that is why we love local days!

Back to Wonder Works, it is a very fun place to go! I would highly recommend it for kids 4 years and up. We did take our 3-year-olds, we knew they would love to see each other plus they were free.

Once you get your ticket don’t forget to look up, and around! Everything is upside down! The tornado carried the building hundreds of miles away where it landed upside-down! After you notice you are in an “upside-down house”, you will walk through this crazy cool tunnel, they call it the inversion tunnel. Wonder Works have different wonder zones, glow in the dark ropes course, laser tag, and a 4D XD simulator ride.

Our 3-year-olds loved all of the wonder zones. The wonder zones were extreme weather zone, physical challenge zone, light and sound zone, space discovery zone, wonder art gallery, and imagination lab. Each wonder zone had some really cool things. My favorite was the one bubble lab! The bubble lab was in the physical challenge zone. The 3-year-olds LOVED that!

Sarah and her little girl did the glow in the dark rope course. It is 50 feet tall! You climb 4 stories of ropes as you encounter over 50 different obstacles and activities. Sarah’s little girl loved the rope course and could have kept going and going. She loves the thrills & if you do too, you would love this! You do have to be a certain height and weight to do the rope course as well as closed toe shoes. Highly recommend wearing closed toe shoes to this attraction!

We had no idea, they had laser tag here. We were all surprised! The older kids did laser tag with Sarah and my husband Josh. I watched our 2 littlest and let them pretend they are playing arcade games! Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention they do have a little arcade area! We love arcades & laser tag!! My boys are obsessed with laser tag, and this was Sarah’s little girls first-time playing laser tag. She had a great time playing and would do it again! My husband also really liked this laser tag compared to Lazer port where he grew up having his birthday parties.

We all did not do the 4D XD simulator ride because of our little 3-year-olds couldn’t do it. It does look pretty interesting, and we would definitely try it out next time we go when the littles are a bit bigger!
