With School Buses

If you can go early, have them take a photo with some school buses behind them or just go one day when they are parked there. Even if your kid never rides a bus, school buses are classic back to school photos and are an easy background.

In Front of The School

You never know where life can take you. You may have your kid go to that school their whole life, or you may move. I went to the same school from K-8th and never took a photo in front of it and don’t have one photo of the school. Since then, the school has changed so much. I wish I had a photo with it or even of it.

On The Playground

School playgrounds change over the years and your kid may know that playground so well and love certain things about it and have special memories. Go out one day and explore it with them and get some photos of them on it.

In A Field

I love finding beautiful fields to take photos in. Bring a few props, a themed shirt and have some fun.

In the Hallway

How cute would it be to grab a photo of you kid at their locker

walking down the hallway.

with the Bulletin Board in class

At Locker

Getting a locker is the best especially for the first time and decorating it! Be sure to grab a photo of them next to it, opening it up, reading their books, all the decor, their locker number and maybe them twisting open the lock code.

In A Store Looking For Supplies

You can get some super cute photo of them searching for their backpack, paper, binders, and crayons!!

Take photos of them choosing between two different lunch boxes

At Bus Stop

If your kid gets on the bus, grab a photo of them waiting with friends

Be sure to get a photo of them stepping on it.

Get a photo of the bus number as well for memory sake

Poses

It is hard to come up with poses for the kids to do plus we all know kids, especially boys are not fans of having their photos taken so have a list ready and be prepared. Get those photos done quick some everyone is happy.
